About the Staff
Vanessa Morales, Multimedia Content Director
A graduate of the School of Journalism at the University of Puerto Rico, Vanessa began her career at Radio Universidad where she produced news and lifestyle programs. She has over 15 years of experience working for the newspaper industry, including El Nuevo Dia, Hato and Notiuno.
Virginia Gaglianone, Multimedia Editor / Producer
A graduate of the School of Journalism at California State University Northridge, Virginia joined La Opinion as a reporter and later became a multimedia producer. Before joining impreMedia, Virginia worked for The Wave Newspaper, Culver City Star, The Independent, and La Ola. She is currently enrolled in the Humanities Masters program at California State University.
Tania Moreno, Multimedia Editor / Producer
Tania Moreno, a reporter with expertise in management, entrepreneurship and personal finance, has established herself as a successful journalist. Prior to joining impreMedia, Tania worked at CNN Expansion, Excélsior, Publimetro, and Metro International.
Maria Ortiz, Multimedia Editor / Producer
Maria Ortiz was born in Cuba where she wrote about visual arts for Arte Cubano and other publications prior to joining La Opinion as a Web editor.
Eileen Truax, Online Editor
Born in Mexico City, Eileen earned a BA in Social Communication and an MA in Political Communication from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana in Mexico City. She worked for several publications in Mexico prior to joining impreMedia in 2004. Since moving to Los Angeles, Eileen has covered immigration, community and issues pertaining to Mexican - American relations for La Opinion and impreMedia in the Los Angeles area. Eileen also owns a small video production company and has specialized in digital journalism.
